Shipping Policy

Ocean freight, documented and trackable.

BlackLith homes are shipped through large-format logistics channels, including ocean freight. This policy explains estimated timing, buyer responsibilities, delivery inspection, and delays.

Estimated ocean freight: 40-45 days Last updated: June 3, 2026

Estimated Delivery Timeline

BlackLith uses ocean freight for many international prefab home shipments. Ocean freight and port handling usually require a meaningful transit window.

Estimated delivery after shipment release is typically 40-45 days, depending on destination, vessel schedule, port conditions, customs, and local delivery arrangements.

Production time, quality checks, final payment clearance, export documentation, and freight booking may be separate from the ocean freight transit window unless your written order states otherwise.

Shipping Scope

Shipping terms may vary by order, destination, quotation, and written invoice. Unless specifically included in writing, shipping may not include final-mile delivery, crane service, unloading equipment, site preparation, permits, foundation work, utility connections, installation labour, customs brokerage, duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, inspections, or local compliance costs.

If a quotation states "free shipping," the included scope should be read together with the written quote or invoice. Free shipping does not automatically mean every destination-side cost is included.

Customs, Duties, Taxes, and Import Requirements

The buyer is responsible for confirming import eligibility, local regulations, customs requirements, duties, taxes, inspections, and documentation required by the destination country, state, province, city, port, or authority unless BlackLith agrees otherwise in writing.

BlackLith may provide reasonable commercial documents available to us, but buyer-side import approval and local legal compliance remain the buyer's responsibility.

Site Access and Delivery Readiness

The buyer must make sure the delivery location can receive the home safely. This includes road access, site clearance, unloading area, crane/forklift arrangements if needed, foundation readiness, and responsible personnel on site.

Additional charges may apply if delivery fails because of incorrect information, inaccessible roads, missed appointments, unavailable unloading equipment, unpaid destination charges, or buyer-side delays.

Inspection at Delivery

The buyer or receiving party should inspect the home and packaging at delivery. If visible damage exists, photograph and video the condition before moving, installing, modifying, or using the product.

  • Capture wide-angle photos of the delivery condition.
  • Capture close-up photos of damage and packaging.
  • Keep delivery documents, freight documents, and any carrier notes.
  • Email evidence to iblacklith@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Shipping Delays

BlackLith will make reasonable efforts to communicate known delays. However, ocean freight can be affected by carrier schedules, port congestion, customs inspections, weather, geopolitical events, strikes, vessel changes, documentation review, and other events outside BlackLith's control.

If a delay occurs, BlackLith may provide an updated estimate. A delayed shipment does not automatically create a right to cancel a custom order unless required by law or agreed in writing.
